J-Two is still small, but he is now talking and his favorite things to say are “Take a picture of my car.” “Where my cars go?” “Chicken butt!” “What are you going to do with me?” and “Hug!” (meaning: pick me up and carry me to where I want to go).
J-One is a laugh and a half.
One minute he’s playing make-believe as a King of Swords and Buyer of Suitcases, the Comedy Suitcase Traveling Man and the Jew in the Consulate. (don’t ask how he came up with these titles, we don’t know.)
Then he stopped playing in the pool, dropped to his knees and started praying for his imaginary friend, Monkey America, to come home.
And a long conversation of how “you can be a kid an’ adult at the same time.”
When family moves away, they are so much more appreciated when able to visit. And even more excitement is to be had when there’s a new little one is involved! J-Three will be introduced later. He did have fun meeting Ada, who is his age. 😉
It was a glorious week: my cousin (and Best Friend) was in town with her 3 adorable boys and husband. One day while Mom and Dad were on a date for their anniversary, I met up with the crew at the Purple Park. J-One was convinced that we didn’t need to take pictures ‘cuz Mom and Dad don’t need to see where we were today’. J-Two stood on the little bridge just watching until I asked if he wanted to swing. J-Two loves to swing, so off we went to swing for the entire time. Sweetheart!

Walking Sookie, visiting Grandma, learning new words: it’s all in a day’s play with Cole!
Getting ready for tonight’s wedding.
I know, I know…it’s waaaaaaay past Labor Day. School has started, leaves are changing colors…and I’m just now posting Labor Day pictures. Well, it’s been a busy few weeks, with a funeral, canning salsa (yum!), looking for work, meeting new babies, getting training and putting plans into action for becoming a Relay Center during collection week with Operation Christmas Child. All big time-spenders. Now, on to pictures….
