A wonderful picnic was had in Edina last week. Even with the rain, it was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the company of friends waiting for the band concert. There was one bird with a rather long name, a Swan-Heron-Crane-Seal! You may wonder ‘What kind of bird is this?’ Let me tell you the story of how it got it’s name.

We saw a white bird gliding over the water and ‘swan!’ was said. When we looked closer, we thought maybe it was a crane, or maybe a heron. Later, a little girl saw it and started telling her mom about the seal! Thus, it became known as a Swan-Heron-Crane-Seal!
